Hi everyone, my name is Diana Mohamed and I am a co-pted govenor and have been so since summer 2016.

I also have two children in year 4 and 6, so am lucky enough to see just how much hard work goes into creating a positive environment for our children to learn and grow at Kingsley School.

I am currently a full-time mum but my past working life was spent mainly project managing local education and sports projects, providing young people and adults with various learning opportunities. I also spent a few years as an assistant teacher for ages 11--16 which is a role I found enjoyable and challeging in equal measure!

I live in our local community of Toxteth with my family and attended university in Liverpool, completing a B.A (hons) and later a M.A.

I enjoy tai chi, yoga, reading and walking in nature (not all at once!) and find inspiration in different forms of architecture, design and interiors.

I am Irene; I am delighted to be working with the children, staff and community of Kingsley Community School as part of the governing body.  It is particularly important to me as an ex-pupil of Granby Street now Kingsley Community School and as a member of our community.   My career took me from Granby Street to Liverpool University to the position of Vice Principal in Salford and Liverpool Community College. Hopefully my career and those of other former pupils shows how far we can go and what we can achieve.  I have a particular commitment to the multi-ethnic community having written a book on the Chinese in Liverpool and worked in numerous community development projects across the City.

I hope that I can use this experience and commitment to further our work with our children, staff and the wider community of Kingsley school.
