Religious Education
Hello and welcome to the Kingsley Community School R.E page. At Kingsley, we base our work on six religions: Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, Buddhism and Judaism. Our work is based around how people worship in each religion, we read religious stories and discover how we can learn from each religion.
At Kingsley Community Primary School we follow SACRE, the agreed syllabus for Liverpool. Children are taught to understand and respect the importance of religious beliefs in the world around them.
You can access the Liverpool Revised Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education here: SACRE Syllabus PDF
Within Kingsley school we cover a wide variety of religions across the year groups. By the time children leave Kingsley school they should have a good understanding of the six world religions. We followed the Liverpool agreed syllabus for R.E. We welcome and celebrate diversity and are sensitive to the home background of each child and we work to ensure that all pupils feel and are included in our RE program. As a school we recognise the importance of pupil’s all-round personal development including: spiritual, moral social and cultural elements in particular.
