Welcome to Reception.

We are the Hedgehogs, we are taught by our teacher Miss Barker and our learning support assistant Miss Ruane. 

We can't wait to take you on a journey, as you watch us learning and growing together, so keep your eyes peeled for all our news and photos.

Things to remember

Everyday: 

Correct uniform, book bags, coats 

(Winter: hat, scarf, gloves and/or waterproofs. Summer: Sun hats, sun cream already applied, spare clothes for water play)

Thursday: 

Forest school: Children need wellies, warm clothes.

P.E: Children need a P.E kit, starting in the summer term.

Reading:

Reading books will be changed a twice a week. Please sign the learning journal to say your child has read.

Home learning:

We love to hear all about the learning children do at home, whether it's baking, practising their phonics, or reading to their siblings. Let us know on the gate, or in their reading journals. Let's celebrate all learning together.

Reading in Reception

We love reading in Reception, especially when we are curled up with our pillows, blankets and reading buddies. 

We work so hard to be the best readers we can be.

We read Monster Phonics books in school and at home.

At the end of each day we get comfy and listen to a story that we have voted for.
