Love Jasmine Charity Fundraising Day
Dingle Granby Toxteth Love Jasmine Day
Dear Parents and Carers,
On Wednesday 5th March several local schools in this area are holding a fund- raising day to help raise money for a local Charity that many of our community have received support from.
All of the children (and staff) are invited to wear their own clothes and to bring a donation for the charity.
The charity is a local one, set up by the parents of Jasmine Lapsley in 2016 to support other families who had lost a child. Jasmine’s death meant that they experienced first hand what support services were and were not available. They then set out to improve the support that was available to bereaved families in the Merseyside area.
The Charity provides bereavement support to families who have lost a child of any age from 20 weeks gestation to adulthood. They take an holistic approach to the support they provide and understand that everyone deals with their grief and trauma in their own way.
As I have said before, there are so many deserving charities and so many calls for support for those in need all over the world, but this charity has helped many Liverpool families in the past, and is a local organisation close to the hearts of schools in the local network, so I hope we can support it.
I know that Love Jasmine have helped to make a difference to those going through the most unimaginable loss, and I hope you will join us in helping them out by raising some funds for the organisation. If you can spare a £1, or anything you can, we would be very grateful.
Many thanks for your help and support,
Alison Whittaker, Head Teacher.
