Welcome to 2W!

Our names are Miss Williams and Miss Ireland.

In our class we have created a set of ‘Class Agreements’ which we think make us the best we can possibly be!

1. Be resilient

3. Be respectful
4. Keep our classroom tidy
5. Be safe

In 2W we are all about being fair and respectful to each other. Year 2 is a year for us to grow and develop. It is a key time in your child's development and it is vital that your child attends school each day. 

We know that Year 2 is a busy year, so we know that we are expected to try our best at all times and most of all – set a high expectation of ourselves!

PE

This is on Wednesday and Thursday (make sure to bring your P.E kit!) 

Homework 

Each Friday, Year 2 are expected to :

1. Take book bags home and read over the weekend
2. Learn their weeks spelling (located in bookbag)
3. Complete any homework that is given that week (also in book bags!)

Book bags are given out to pupils on Friday for the weekend and must be brought back on Monday to ensure that your child has a chance to read with their teacher or LSA throughout the week.

Please sign your child's reading record to show that they have read that week.

After school clubs

Across the school, after school clubs are so important, it’s all about encouraging children to do what they are most interested in – after school! After school clubs change every half term.

Monday        - Gymnastics / Art club

Tuesday       - All Star girls Cricket

Wednesday - Drumming 

Thursday     - TBC

Friday          - TBC

If you are unsure about any after school clubs provided to Year 2, speak to the class teacher.
