Welcome to Reception - We are the Owls
We are taught by our teacher Miss Saif and our learning support assistant Miss Stephenson and Miss Wilcox.
Things to know:
Uniform - children are expected to come into school wearing appropriate uniform and bring in their book bags. During winter terms make sure children have warm clothes and waterproofs.
Home reading books will be changed a minimum of twice a week, reading logs should be signed to let teachers know children have read.
Mondays - forest school and P.E.
They need boots, warm clothes and in the summer term will need a P.E kit.

This term our theme has been superhero’s. We have been looking at different superhero books such as Juniper Jupiter, Supertato, Superworm and many more. We have loved the superhero theme and have enjoyed dressing up as superhero’s with our own special powers!

Farm Visit

Today we went on our first class trip to the farm. We had so much fun feeding the animals and learning all about them too.
ZooLab

We had ZooLab in today and the children were thrilled to meet some animals and learn all about them.
Learning about different cultures and religions
Week beginning 3rd October:
The children made some delicious Australian fairy bread this week after learning about different cultured foods from around the world.

Our emotion bottles
Weeks beginning 19th and 26th September
We have been reading the colour monster and focusing on our emotions. The children had the chance to talk about how they were feeling and reflected their emotion when making their bottles.

Making boats at home
Weeks beginning 19th and 26th September
The children were asked to make boats at home that reflected their culture which we used for a science experiment in class. The children got the chance to see and reflect on the diversity in their class as we had so many different flags being represented on our boats.
